Boiler/burner coils
on pressure washers often get holes in them with age, you can usually tell by water running out of the
bottom of the coil
Instructions on how to remove & replace your burner / boiler coil on your pressure washer system
- IMPORTANT turn the pressure washer off completely, check there is no pressure in the pressure washer system
- Remove
complete head off the boiler including chimney, draught tubes etc, take photographs as you do this so you can refer to them when you are putting
the boiler back together
- Go to the bottom of the coil and
remove any pipes, then the retaining locknut, its often easier just to
snap these and replace with new, you may want to tag each pipe as to
which way around they go or take a photograph for when you reassemble
- If you can turn
the boiler on its side and slide the boiler out, otherwise place a
metal bar across the bottom side of the coil and tie to a rope the use a
fork lift or crane to lift out, these can be heavy and get stuck in quite
tight, so using a machine or gravity to do this definately helps
- Place new coil in and reassemble

KAMCO Sootbreaker CDR16. Combustion deposit remover for petrol/diesel boilers. Enables boilers to be cleaned whilst they are working. Ideal for incorporating into a machine service. dimensions 190mm x 28mm
'On-line' combustion deposit remover for oil, coal and larger gas-fired boilers and air heaters with sooty deposits. KAMCO SOOTBREAKER CDR16 enables boilers to be cleaned whilst they are actually operating. It oxidises and burns away the soot and products of incomplete combustion which acts as a thermal barrier, thereby restoring heat transfer and boiler efficiency. KAMCO SOOTBREAKER's propellant mechanism ensures distribution throughout the boiler, reaching areas inaccessible to manual cleaning methods. Regular use minimises the need for manual cleaning.
APPLICATION & USAGE:
KAMCO Sootbreaker is a blend of oxidising and neutralising components packed in plastic tubes, which are thrown, unopened, into the combustion chamber once the boiler is up to maximum temperature (at least 350°C). The boiler is then fired continuously for a minimum of 30 minutes. Highly reactive chemicals, in both gaseous and solid form, are distributed throughout the boiler, causing hard carbon deposits to dry out, oxidise and disintegrate.
Soot is burnt off and any residue of scale or deposits falls to the bottom of the boiler, where it may be easily brushed or vacuumed out.
USE EVERY MONTH THROUGHOUT THE HEATING SEASON TO MAINTAIN BOILER OUTPUT AND MINIMISE FUEL CONSUMPTION.
